Note where truncation occurs... |
Beta testers please note! Run any other FILES.BBS manipulator
prior to running YAODLC. OPUS automatic date operation is implied.
*** 1-19-91 YAODLC ver 0.8 GAMMA Release
I decided to implement a VARIABLE format UP TO and INCLUDING 64
characters per line in FILES.BBS. 1:371/15 (Tina Dougherty) reported
blank lines generated between her FILES.BBS listing entries. This
was confirmed by version 0.7a yesterday, which did not cause the
problem. Some video BIOS may Line Feed OPUS-FAM and OPUS entries
over 80 characters per line; both of my machines do not. I will
leave it to the individual sysops to determine if the problem exists,
So they may SHORTEN their FILES.BBS entries. I do not consider this
an error. Increasing <#> to <##> to <###> should not cause truncation
of information. It just may require YOU to edit your description to
compensate for a shorter field. 61 characters + the OPUS automatic
date and size should equal 80 characters! I hope I have confused
everyone. Version 1.0 will incorporate Don Dawson's (1:141/730)
wish list.
*** 1-27-91 YAODLC ver 0.9 Initial Release
I have completed testing at this point. I added CAPITALIZATION
to file names in FILES.BBS; apparantly some programs add lower
case entries. SysOps may even do this manually. Once YAODLC is
run, the entry is in CAPS. OPUS itself has added entries in CAPS
since days of old. Thanks to Don Dawson for this observation.
*** 2-19-91 YAODLC ver 0.91
Increased line length to 80 characters. Some folks want to
preserve their text.
*** 2-21-91 YAODLC ver 0.92
A line beginning with a MINUS sign in FILES.BBS won't be
processed.
Version 1.0 of YAODLC will be on hold until I see what OPUS 1.20 has
in store. I understand OPUS 1.20 will be in GAMMA within a month or
so.
