  1. Bob Hartman's Renum 4.10 version 0.5 for Opus 1.70

  3. This version hopefully fixes the age old problem when deleting by date
  4. a msg with a grunged date would clobber the stack.

  6. No longer renumbers the lastread pointers in the user records because
  7. the lastread pointers no longer exist in the user records as of 120.11.

  9. Since Opus 1.70 allows the system dat files and the user file to be
  10. located in other than the Opus home directory, support has been added
  11. to look up these paths in the Opus prm file.

  13. The easiest way is to set up an environment variable labelled OPUS,
  14. which gives the full pathname of the prm file, i.e.
  15. SET OPUS=H:\OP170\BBS.PRM (if your environment space is cramped,
  16. you may leave off the .PRM suffix, the program will add it).

  18. If the OPUS environment variable is not set, the program will look
  19. in the current working directory for USER.DAT and SYSMSG.DAT. If
  20. either file is not found, it will then look for BBS.PRM and look
  21. up the paths in there.
