Quick and Easy documentation...
To install this program you need to take all of the nodes on your BBS down.
The reason for this is that the game is a TPA and you'll need to install it
into the USERS.INF file. Run PCBSM and select 'Users Info File Maintenance'
from the main menu. From the sub menu you need to select 'Add/Update Third
Party Application.' Once you've made it this far you need to type the name
of the application which is "VAULT". After this is done you need to type
the version number which is "10" and the static size which is "10" as well.
Then you need only set the keyword to "VAULT" and you'll be set. Press
PGDN to initiate the update and the TPA will be ready. You need only to
customize the VAULT.CFG file and the VAULT door file and install it in the
DOORS.LST file and you'll be on your way.
All the files that are used are completely language compatible following the
standards set forth by PCBoard. They also can be security level specific,
once again following the specifications laid down by PCBoard. The files that
may be used are as follows:
WELCOME - The welcome screen.
HELP - The instructions screen.
DONE - The screen to be displayed when you have no more turns.
WIN - The screen to be displayed when you have won the game.
To give a reward for winning the game you can add a command line parameter
'-P' followed by the number of minutes you'd like to reward. I know that
this is very rudimentary, but this is a very quick and easy DOOR. More may
be added in the future as the door grows.
The order of the configuration file is as follows:
Path/Name of the WELCOME file.
Path/Name of the DONE file.
Path/Name of the WIN file.
Path/Name of the HELP file.
Path/Name of the SAFE.DAT file.
