UPGRADING FROM TRITEL 1.X TO TRITEL 2.0
---------------------------------------
1) If you are upgrading from TriTel 1.0, you must first follow
the upgrade directions found in 10TO11.DOC.
2) Copy the files BBS.EXE, TRIPACK.EXE, and TT1XTO20.EXE to your
main TriTel directory.
3) Backup SYSDAT.DAT, JOKER.DAT, and the entire contents of your
WORK directory.
4) Run TT1XTO20.EXE from your main TriTel directory. This
program will create a number of new directories and restructure
and move your old data files to the new directories.
TT1XTO20.EXE is a fairly dumb program. So please backup the your
files before running it as is suggested in 3 above.
5) Add the following two lines to your MAIN.MNU file located in
the NWORK directory:
U,List of Users,10
W,Who's On,999
6) Change the description of "View ZIP Archive" in your FILES.MNU
file located in the NWORK directory to "View Archive".
7) You should now disable any utilities that were written for
previous versions of TriTel. Many utilities access the old data
files and will not work correctly with this version of TriTel.
Because the TriTel 2.0 data files are for the most part either
renamed or located in new directories, running an older utility
probably won't trash your system, BUT don't take chances.
Contact the utility's author about its compatibility with 2.0.
8) Providing you've followed all of the above steps correctly,
TriTel 2.0 is all set to go. Please refer to the TriTel 2.0
manual for complete descriptions of 2.0's many new features.
