- Pretty Quick Eh?
-
-
- Why did I write LANSI.EXE ??
- I run a BBS and use THEDRAW to create ANSI screens for my menu's.
- THEDRAW is (in my opinion) the best drawing tool for ANSI screens
- (text screen). But I was tired of typing "TYPE MAIN.ANS ... TYPE
- MAIN12-53.ANS ... Etc" so I wanted a program (kind of like VPIC) to
- be able to simply display an ansi screen by using some kind of menu.
- Then returning back to the menu after the screen is displayed.
-
-
- How to run LANSI.EXE
- Simply put LANSI in a path on your DOS directory (in the DOS
- directory). Then enter another directory which contains (.ANS)
- files. Just run LANSI in that directory and you will have a screen
- with a scrollable window. Scroll through the listing and hit enter
- on the screen you would like displayed. Then hit any key to get back
- to the menu. (simple Hugh ?)
-
-
- Well that's it !!! Give it a shot... This program is most helpful for sysops
- with a large array of ANS files.
-
-
- WHAT IS IN THE FUTURE....
-
- I'm thinking of writing a more complex version of LANSI which will
- enable conversion of screen formats, Scrollable ansi window (kind of
- like LIST.COM). Color changing.. etc..
-
-
- Money ? :: Don't send any. (although if you do I'll be more than
- happy to accept !! <grin>) but seriously... Just leave me comments
- and let me know how you like it !!
