  15. This is the third upgrade of "Around The House". We've taken many of the 
  16. little programs that we use, and incorporated them into this single, 
  17. feature-packed application. The future plan is to make this program do 
  18. everything that *YOU* might also want to see and use. If you have 
  19. suggestions, wishes, comments or trouble, please let us know.

  22. INSTALLATION
  23. ------------
  24. The installation utility provided (INSTALL.EXE) will install Around The 
  25. House on your hard disk drive, and will also check to see that your system 
  26. meets all of the program requirements.

  28. If you downloaded your copy of Around The House from a BBS or other online 
  29. service, you should uncompress (i.e. unZIP) the files into a *temporary* 
  30. subdirectory on your hard drive, and then let the installation program 
  31. install the actual program files in a permanent subdirectory. To install 
  32. from the temporary subdirectory, switch to the temporary subdirectory, type 
  33. INSTALL, and press the [ENTER] key.

  35. If you have obtained your copy of Around The House on floppy disk(s), you 
  36. should insert the disk (Disk #1 if there are 2 disks) into your floppy disk 
  37. drive, type A:INSTALL (or B:INSTALL), and press the [ENTER] key.

  40. QUICK START
  41. -----------
  42. In order to make FULL use of this program, you will need to read the 
  43. manual, which is supplied as the file MANUAL.TXT. However, to get started 
  44. quickly just to see what the program looks like, simply switch to the 
  45. subdirectory where you have installed the program files (i.e. CD ATH), type 
  46. ATH and press [ENTER]. The program contains context-sensitive Help which 
  47. you can call by pressing the [F1] key.

  50. COLOR/MONOCHROME MONITORS
  51. -------------------------
  52. This program will check to see if you have a color video card installed in 
  53. your computer. If it finds one, it will automatically set the screen 
  54. display to the color settings. If it finds a monochrome video card, it will 
  55. automatically set the screen display to the monochrome settings. If you are 
  56. using a color card with a monochrome monitor, the program may not display 
  57. properly. However, you can go back to the DOS prompt and restart the 
  58. program using the command  ATH M  to restart the program in forced 
  59. monochrome mode.

  62. PRINTING THE DOCUMENTATION:
  63. ---------------------------
  64. The documentation file (MANUAL.TXT) is formatted for 70-characters per 
  65. line, and 58-lines per page. You can print the documentation from within 
  66. the program by selecting the UTILITIES pulldown menu, and then selecting 
  67. the "Print User's Manual" option. Alternately, you can print if from the 
  68. DOS command line simply by issuing the following command:

  70.      COPY MANUAL.TXT PRN

  72. The documentation file contains form-feed characters, so it can also be 
  73. printed by various printing utilities.

  76. OVERSEAS VERSIONS

  78. Please be aware that there are BRITISH and AUSTRALIAN versions of this 
  79. program, which are available for downloading from our BBS. You can call our 
  80. BBS at 317-784-2147, and login using the name RMH COMPUTER, and a password

  85. AROUND THE HOUSE IS SHAREWARE!

  88. to evaluate Around The House for a period of up to 30 days. If after that 
  89. time you intend to continue to use the program you must register it. If you 
  90. do not intend to continue to use the program you must delete it from your 
  91. system.

  93. There is a file named REGISTER.TXT in the distribution file set which 
  94. contains the registration information, and the address to mail your 
  95. registration fee to. You can print this registration form from within the 
  96. program by selecting the UTILITIES pulldown menu option, and then selecting 
  97. the "Registration Form" option. Alternately, you can print the form from 
  98. the DOS command line simply by issuing the command:
