  3. OfficeView is a program that makes it possible to know the comings and goings of employees 
  4. at the glance of a screen.   Your receptionist can give rapid, well-informed responses to 
  5. clients and phone calls.  Messages can be passed between users, too.  Easy to use 
  6. and install, this tool can improve the efficiency of your office and help you give a 
  7. proficient, well-organized service to your clients.

  9. Requires: Windows 3.1 or higher,  color display and file sharing by a file server or peer to peer.

  14. INSTALLATION
  15.  
  16. OfficeView includes a Setup program to make installation easy.  The Setup program can be used 
  17. to install OfficeView on a common network directory and individual workstations.  The program 
  18. runs on Windows 3.1, Windows for Workgroups (WFW) 3.11 or Windows 95.

  20. If more than one workstation will be using the program, then a single copy of the program must be 
  21. installed on a shared directory.  This directory can be located on a fileserver or shared on a 
  22. peer-to-peer LAN, such as Microsoft Network or Lantastic.

  24. To install, double click on the file that you downloaded (eg. ov32zip2.exe). Click on the setup 
  25. button to install the program and to create a program manager group or, in the case of Windows 95, 
  26. to create a folder in the Start button's Programs menu.

  28. For each additional workstation installation, run the setup program from the common network directory.

  31. Removing  OfficeView
  32.  
  33. The following steps outline how to completely remove the main copy of OfficeView. On LAN Workstations 
  34. complete the first two steps only.

  36. Delete:
  37. 1) OfficeView group and OfficeView icon from the Program Manager.
  38. 2) OVlocal.ini from the main windows directory (usually c:\windows).
  39. 3) all files in the OfficeView directory ( default directory c:\OView ).
  40. 4) OfficeView directory.

  43. The unregistered version restricts the maximum names on the screen to five. The help file has information on 
  44. how to register.
