  21. It features Perforation skips and adds a formfeed at the end of each file.
  22. An option to print the file name on the top of the first page along with the
  23. current date and time, and file date and time.
  24. There's three printing modes. two of them are designed to save paper space.

  119. RUNNING THE PROGRAM:
  120. --------------------
  121. To get the program up and running simple type in the name of the program 
  122. at the Dos prompt.

  146. Using Alt-S you can toggle this on and off. This will speed up the cursor on
  147. a slow floppy when this is toggled off.

  149. Then the files in the current directory are displayed. On the bottom are the
  150. options.

  155. Pressing H will bring up a help screen.

  158. You can use PrintPlus to view or print-out the docs "P4doc" if you desire.

  161. MOVING THE CURSOR
  162. -----------------
  163.  
  164. Use the four cursor keys to move the cursor around the screen to the
  165. files you want to print.
  166.  
  167. The [Home] key will bring you to the top left of the screen.
  168. [End] key will take you to the bottom right.

  172. VIEW FILES

  175. Pressing 'V' will let you view the file that's under the cursor.
  176. Use Page DN, Page Up, Down Arrow and the Home keys to move about.

  178. [Page Dn]       Brings you to the next screen.
  179. [Page Up]       Takes you back to the previous screen.
  180. [Home]          Moves you back to the start of the file.
  181. [Dn Arrow]      Down one line  
  182. [Esc]           To leave Viewing option.

  184. If you are viewing a large file the complete file may not be completely 
  185. shown.

  188. PICKING THE FILES TO PRINT
  189. --------------------------

  191. MARKING FILES TO PRINT
  192.  
  193. To mark a file for printing move the cursor to the file and press the
  194. space bar to mark it.
  195. To unmark a file press the space bar again. It works as a toggle.
  196.  
  197. When marked there will be an arrow   to the right of the filename and
  198. the filename will be in `Mark' text .
  199. The exception of the above is if it's a `Today file' it will have a 
  200. smaller arrow marking it at the end.
  201.  
  202. You can choose the colors of your choice with the [Alt-C] key.
  203.  
  204. TODAY FILES:         Filename.ext■
  205.  
  206. Any file with today's date will be displayed in  `todaymark'■.
  207. This makes it easier to find a file you just downloaded etc. for printing.
  208. When these files are marked for printing they will also be in the `Mark'
  209. color and have a `small arrow' at the end.

  212. [PAGE DN] FOR NEXT SCREEN

  214. If there are more files than will fit on one screen pressing [Page Dn]
  215. will bring you to the next screen.
  216. This will unmarked all files on the previous screen so print all the marked
  217. files on one screen at a time.

  220. CHANGING PRINTING MODES
  221. ------------------------
  222. F1 F2 & F3 are used to change the way the files are to be printed.
  223.  
  224. F1      Will print the file skipping the perforations and adding a formfeed
  225.         at the end of the file.
  226.  
  227. F2      Does the same as F1 plus skips any blank lines beyond one.
  228.         This reduces paper waste and still leaves very good readability.
  229.  
  230. F3      Same as F1 but cuts out practically all of the blank lines.
  231.         Reduces paper waste the most but may be somewhat harder to read
  232.         in some cases.

  236. PREVIEW # OF PAGES  THAT WILL BE PRINTED

  241. Pressing [Alt-P] will display how many pages it will take to print the file
  242. under the cursor.
  243. The # of pages will be shown for each of the Pmodes (F1 F2 F3) so that you 
  244. can easily compare the paper savings for the subject file.

  294. The name of the file being printed will be displayed on the bottom of 
  295. the screen.

  347. CHANGING CURRENT DRIVE

  349. Press `X'       to change to another drive.

  405. DELETING FILES
  406. --------------

  408. [Alt-D]    to delete the file under the cursor.

  410. Cursor to file you want to delete then press [Alt-D].
  411. This will bring up the prompt      "DELETE this FILE? (y/n)"
  412. Press "y" to delete or "n" to abort.  You can also press [Esc] to abort.

  414. When the file is deleted it will be marked with ▒ and be YELLOW on RED
  415. after you cursor off.

  418. CHANGING YOUR DEFAULT COLORS
  419. ----------------------------
  420. If you don't like the colors on screen you can change them.

  422. Press [Alt-C]

  424. This will show a text screen with the colors that are set now.

  441. use the original colors do this at the dos prompt.

  462. -------
  463. [I] toggles Imitate mode on/off.
  464.  
  465. With this set on simulated formfeeds and perforation skips will be produce.
  466. This will benefit people with printers that can't handle the control codes.

  469. Setting Imitate mode off will send a character 12 for formfeeds and skip
  470. perforations by sending the codes [27,78,6] and [27,67,66].
  471. This will give a smoother performance and is recommended if your printer
  472. supports it.

  520.    Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  521.    before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  522.    using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  523.    differ on details -- some request registration while others
  524.    require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  525.    registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  526.    using the software to an updated program with printed manual.
