     FXMASTER is designed for Epson FX series (and compatible) printers. It
provides full access to all 160 typestyles, plus 'uncounted' proportional
fonts. The menu and status line #24 document FXMASTER. Here are a few tips:
     RESET: If you do not use Z to reset your printer, starting from scratch,
the status line may be incorrect since it cannot account for your previous
settings. RESET is not done automatically (so that you can fine-tune previous
settings), and there is no way to read previous settings. Options Z, Fnn, and
Inn also reset the top of form to the current print-head position.
     FONTS: Read the FX manual chapter on "Dress-up Modes and Master Select"
to better understand the basic operation of FXMASTER. Remember: the STANDARD
and SCRIPT DRESS-UP COMBINATIONS are on/off toggles.
     DEFAULTS: Defaults for "MISCELLANEOUS" options are shown in parantheses.
     ERRORS: Error checking is extensive but not bullet-proof. You can create
'illegal' conditions. Example: while margin limits vary by font, FXMASTER
checks only the absolute outer limits. When FXMASTER 'traps' your error, you
must touch return after reading the error message before you may continue.
     EXPERTS: Consult your FX manual index for "margins" to see how you can
squeeze extra characters on a line. Experiment with 'Proportional' to find out
how many fonts you can really use. If you think that FXMASTER cannot set all
160 documented fonts, just consult table D-3 in the FX manual, then combine
options on the FXMASTER menu to duplicate each. For details on "MISCELLANEOUS"
options, use your FX manual index. To SKIP the MENU, enter multiple commands on
the command line, eg.  FXMASTER Z B L5 P6  resets then sets all those features.
