Labels:text | screenshot | display OCR: OREGENO A perennial belonging to the mint family, there are two strains of this attractive bush. The Mediterranian strain is more delicate in fragrance and taste than the Mexican strain, which is quite pungent. Very common in Italian pasta dishes, Oregano did not become popular in the U.S until around mid-century. Now it is found in most kitchens across the country. A Oregano can spice up just about any cheese and tomato dish, but try a little on otherwise bland chicken or fish recipes D for an appealing difference. Also great on mushrooms! T Experiment with different spices added to otherwise unaltered recipes for a completely different flavor experience. Spices P and herbs open up a variety of flavor possibilities!
