  15.          For proper operation all above .TXT files must be resident on        /
  16.          the current directory of the hard disk along with REV.EXE            /
  17.          ( If you must run from floppy disk it is the operator's              /
  18.            responsibility to insert the proper disk at the proper             /
  19.            time, not an enjoyable task.)                                      /
  20.                                                                               /
  21.         Installation:                                                         /
  22.             Insert disk #1, type and enter "A:" if not on A:.                 /
  23.             Type and enter "install".                                         /
  24.             Insert the remaining disks as instructed on the monitor.          /
  25.             The install program creates a directory "REV" and installs        /
  26.             the required files on that directory of the hard disk.            /
  27.                                                                               /
  28.         Help:                                                                 /
  29.             Type and enter "help" to review this HELP FILE or                 /
  30.             use INS key when running REV.EXE.                                 /
  31.                                                                               /
  32.         Running:                                                              /
  33.             When in the "REV" directory type and enter "rev".                 /
  34.             If not in the "rev" directory and in the main directory           /
  35.             type and enter "cd rev".  If in a sub directory type and          /
  36.             enter "cd\" followed by "cd rev" to enter REV directory.          /
  37.                                                                               /
  38.         KEY FUNCTIONS:                                                        /
  39.               ( If using the mouse select the functions by positioning        /
  40.                 the mouse cursor on the function on the monitor and           /
  41.                 press a mouse button.)                                        /
  42.                                                                               /
  43.             F1 = R & OLDT:   Displays the King James text of Revelation       /
  44.                 in the left window and parallel Old Testament scriptures      /
  45.                 in the right window.                                          /
  46.                                                                               /
  47.             F2 = R & NEWT:   Displays the King James text of Revelation       /
  48.                 in the left window and parallel New Testament scriptures      /
  49.                 in the right window.                                          /

  51.             F3 = R & CMTS;   Displays the King James text of Revelation       /
  52.                 in the left window and some comments in the right window.     /
  53.                                                                               /
  54.             F4 = R & YOUR CMTS:  Displays the King James text of              /
  55.                 Revelation in the left window and user added comments         /
  56.                 in the right window.                                          /
  57.                                                                               /
  58.             F5 = NEW CHAP:   Prompts the user for a new chapter number.       /
  59.                 Type and enter the chapter number ( example  "12"  ) and      /
  60.                 the new chapter file will be substituted for the existing     /
  61.                 chapter and displayed at home position.                       /
  62.                                                                               /
  63.             F6 = ADD COMMENTS:  Allows the user to add comments to the file.  /
  64.                 Move cursor to desired lcation in right window and type       /
  65.                 text to be entered as comments.  Word wrap is provided,       /
  66.                 but the enter key may be used as desired for a line           /
  67.                 return.  Corrections are made by moving the cursor to the     /
  68.                 error and typing over the error. (There is no single          /
  69.                 letter insert function.)                                      /
  70.                       UP-arrow:  Moves cursor up and moves up a line when     /
  71.                                 the top of the window is exceeded.            /
  72.                       DOWN-arrow: Moves cursor down and moves down a line     /
  73.                                 when the bottom of the window is exceeded.    /
  74.                       LEFT-arrow:  Moves the cursor to the left.              /
  75.                       RIGHT-arrow: Moves the cursor to the right.             /
  76.                       HOME:  Displays the top of the file.                    /
  77.                       End:   Displays the bottom of the file.                 /
  78.                       PG-UP:  Moves the display up one page.                  /
  79.                       PG-DN:  Moves the display down one page.                /
  80.                       INS:    Saves the added comments in the file.           /
  81.                                                                               /
  82.                                     WARNING!!                                 /
  83.                       If INS key is not used before the DEL key the           /
  84.                       added comments will not be saved!!                      /
  85.                                     WARNING!!                                 /
  86.                                                                               /
  87.                       DEL:   Erases the lower window and returns to the       /
  88.                              full display.                                    /
  89.                                                                               /
  90.                                 LINE EDIT FUNCTIONS                           /
  91.                                                                               /
  92.                       F1 = SAVE L: Copy the line that the cursor is on.       /
  93.                       F2 = DELETE L: Delete line that the cursor is on.       /
  94.                       F3 = PRINT L: Print the saved/deleted line on the       /
  95.                                     line that the cursor is on, prints        /
  96.                                     over anything on that line.               /
  97.                       F4 = INSERT L: Inserts the saved/deleted line           /
  98.                                      where the cursor is and moves all        /
  99.                                      lines below one line down.               /
  100.                                      Last line of your comments can           /
  101.                                      can be lost if on last line of           /
  102.                                      alloted comments area in memory.         /
  103.                       Ctrl-F3 = REPEAT PRINT L: You can copy a block of       /
  104.                                      lines by repeatedly pressing             /
  105.                                      Ctrl-F3. It will over print.             /
  106.                       Ctrl-F4 = REPEAT INSERT L: You can move a block         /
  107.                                      of lines by repeatedly pressing          /
  108.                                      Ctrl-F4. Comments at the end of          /
  109.                                      the alloted comment area will be         /
  110.                                      lost.                                    /
  111.                                                                               /
  112.             F7 = SEARCH:       Searches the current chapter file for user     /
  113.                 supplied key word or phrase.  Type and enter the desired      /
  114.                 word ( example "angel" ) and the first occurance will be      /
  115.                 located and highlighted in capital letters.                   /
  116.                       PG-UP key continues search above present position.      /
  117.                       PG-DN key continues search below present position.      /
  118.                       DEL key ends search action and returns to display.      /
  119.                       (prompts are displayed on monitor lines 24 and 25)      /
  120.                                                                               /
  121.             F8 = REFERENCES:  Opens a new window in the lower half of the     /
  122.                 monitor screen and displays the parallel scripture            /
  123.                 references grouped by Biblical chapter.                       /
  124.                       UP-arrow:  Moves cursor up and moves up a line when     /
  125.                                  the top of the window is exceeded.           /
  126.                       DOWN-arrow:  Moves cursor down and moves down a line    /
  127.                                   when the bottom of the window is exceeded.  /
  128.                       LEFT-arrow:   Moves the cursor to the left.             /
  129.                       RIGHT-arrow:  Moves the cursor to the right.            /
  130.                       HOME:   Displays the top of the reference file.         /
  131.                       End:    Displays the bottom of the reference file.      /
  132.                       PG-UP:  Moves the display up one page.                  /
  133.                       PG-DN:  Moves the display down one page.                /
  134.                       DEL:    Erases the lower window and returns to the      /
  135.                               full display.                                   /
  136.                       F10:    Prompts the user for the number of lines        /
  137.                               desired to be printed.  Type and enter a        /
  138.                               number of lines.  (example  "24" )              /
  139.                               Type and enter 0 for no lines.                  /
  140.                                                                               /
  141.             F9 = CONCORDANCE:  Opens a new window in the lower half of        /
  142.                 the monitor screen and displays the occurances of the         /
  143.                 word of interest in the Revelation.   The transliterated      /
  144.                 Greek word is provided and other possible translations.       /
  145.                 (The concordance is abridged with trivial words omitted.)     /
  146.                 Type and enter the desired word.  ( example "angel" )         /
  147.                       UP-arrow:  Moves cursor up and moves up a line when     /
  148.                                  the top of the window is exceeded.           /
  149.                       DOWN-arrow:  Moves cursor down and moves down a line    /
  150.                                  when the bottom of the window is exceeded.   /
  151.                       LEFT-arrow:  Moves the cursor to the left.              /
  152.                       RIGHT-arrow:  Moves the cursor to the right.            /
  153.                       HOME:   Displays the top of the concordance file.       /
  154.                       END:    Displays the bottom of the concordance file.    /
  155.                       PG-UP:  Moves the display up one page.                  /
  156.                       PG-DN:  Moves the display down one page.                /
  157.                       DEL:    Erases the lower window and returns to the      /
  158.                               full display.                                   /
  159.                       F10:    Prompts the user for the number of lines        /
  160.                               desired to be printed.  Type and enter a        /
  161.                               number of lines.  (example  "24" )              /
  162.                                                                               /
  163.             F10 = PRINT:  Prompts the user for the number of lines of         /
  164.                 the main display to print.  Type and enter the desired        /
  165.                 number of lines to print.  (  example  "24" )                 /
  166.                                                                               /
  167.             UP-arrow:   Moves cursor up and moves up a line when the top      /
  168.                  of the window is exceeded.                                   /
  169.                                                                               /
  170.             DOWN-arrow: Moves cursor down and moves down a line when the      /
  171.                  bottom of the window is exceeded.                            /
