  2. SYMPTOMS. The only sign may be breathlessness or it may include chest pain,
  3. coughing, spitting of blood and fever.
  4. CAUSES. It is a blood clot that is carried in the bloodstream to an artery
  5. in the lung, usually, from deep in a leg vein where it was formed.
  6. TREATMENT. Oxygen may be required.
  7. .Pain relivers and anticoagulant drugs may be prescribed.
  8. .Removal of the clot by surgery may be required.
