  1.                 Herpes Labialis (Cold Sores, Fever Blisters)
  2. SYMPTOMS include burning and itching about the lips. Blisters will follow
  3. and then crusted sores. The sores may last for a week or more.
  4. CAUSES are from a virus infection that may be caused by sunburn, onset of
  5. menstruation, allergy to certain food or any disease that produces a fever.
  6. TREATMENT. Petrolatum may help with crusted sores.
  7. .Itching & burning may be reduced with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol.
