  2. SYMPTOMS. Infrequent or difficult passage of stool.
  3. CAUSES. Poor bowel habits, poor diet, enema abuse or laxative abuse. It may
  4. be also caused by gastrointestinal cancer, thyroid disorders, obstructions
  5. in the intestines, diverticulitis or other gland problems.
  6. TREATMENT. A possible organic cause may be determined by your doctor.
  7. .Increased intake of high fiber foods and plenty of water may be required.
  8. .Establish a regular toilet time. Consult a nutritionist.
