  22.          You must add or edit the following lines of your CONFIG.SYS file in
  23.          the root directory and reboot to run this program:
  24.                                       FILES=40
  25.                                       BUFFERS=20
  26.          This program is too large to run from a 360K diskette. You must
  27.          have a hard drive.  The program is distributed in a PKZIP file. Run
  28.          the INSTALL program to automatically create a sub-directory called
  29.          DIARY on your hard drive and "unzip" the files if you do not know
  30.          how to extract ZIP files.  On distribution disks of this program
  31.          the following files will be found:

  39.            INSTALL <origination drive letter> <destination drive letter>

  44.               The program comes with a sample diary which can be used to
  45.          study the program.  A manual is included on this disk. To print the
  46.          manual, select "Print Manual" from the "F7-Utilities" menu.

  48.          WARNING! This program holds data in memory and automatically saves
  49.          data as you exit the program. DO NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTER or
  50.          REBOOT WHILE THE PROGRAM IS RUNNING. Data in memory will not be
  51.          written to disk and unrecoverable data corruption will occur.
  52.          Please backup regularly to insure against inadvertant problems such
  53.          as a power failure.

  59.          CUMBERLAND DIARY is a shareware application program designed for
  60.          diary or journal entries. Entries may be printed singly, in groups,
  61.          as an entire book, or imported by CUMBERLAND STORY. It's features

  64.            * Friendly pop-up menus and screens with extensive on-line help.
  65.            * A word processor with cut-and-paste features.
  66.            * A Spell Check dictionary is available to registered users.
  67.            * Optional secrecy mode with password protection and data

  70.              per day is allowed. Each entry may be up to 10 pages long
  71.              (about 6,600 words).

  97.          If you are upgrading from CUMBERLAND DIARY 1.0 make certain you
  98.          backup your data files before installing this program.  Restore
  99.          your diary(s) as explained under Chapter E.6.b. Data File Backup
  100.          and Restore after installing Version 1.1. If your diary does not
  101.          appear in the diary list when program starts use the [Ins] key to
  102.          add the diary.  Make certain to spell it correctly. This will not
  103.          erase or create a new diary if one already exists with the
  104.          specified name.
