  24. display it over your picture. This is useful in animation
  25. and in drafting or situations where precise alignment of
  26. objects is required. The LAYERED on picture is on-screen
  27. only, not written to disk, and therefore is not displayed
  28. to the end user. When you select REDO, the layer
  29. disappears.
