The following is a short biographical sketch about Matthew Jones.
It has no size limit but it should be limited to a few pages at the
most. Anything more than that should be put into a complete book.
Matthew Jones had the unique distinction of being the youngest
person in the world for a very short time. He had two parents, four
grandparents and eight great-grandparents as everyone suspected. All
of his ancestors survived and had offspring.
He was born a sextuplet to his five sisters. They were all
identical except for him. His father John, was an identical twin to
his sister which accounts for these genetic anomolies.
XXX <--- End of file code
S01 (Source #1) above is the detail part of the source or a complete
stand alone source. The optional 8 character alpha reference code
(USCTHDHD) refers to the general or reference part of the source.
This code is defined as follows:
US = United States
CT = Connecticut
HD = Hayden Family
HD = Author (A.H.Hayden)
The optional numeric code is a standard library code of some kind.
R01 (Reference #1) above is the general part of the source (if it applies)
Separating the source into a Detail and General part eliminates the need
of rewriting that part of the source that is the same.
When a reference code or a place code is used in a history file it is
defined in that file. Because the whole file deals only with one person
the file must be stand-alone in that it carries its own definitions.
When a reference code is used in a vital screen it is not defined in that
screen because the source would be greater than 60 characters.
It is defined in the aux files. The entry is defined as follows:
PRIMARY SOURCE: 01CR/00DC P.123 V.2 USCTHDHD 132.4f
01CR = Database this name came from
00DC = ID# this name had while in that database
P.123 = Page #123
V.2 = Volume #2
USCTHDHD = Alpha Reference Code
132.4f = Numeric Library Code
Notice the two BRN lines at the top. This shows that there is a conflict
in the two birth notes. All sources no matter how accurate should be logged
in. There is no such thing as an absolutely accurate source. This saves a
person from going down the same source trail thinking it is new. The most
accurate source becomes the primary source until proven otherwise. History
files can be merged into one large file. Each record will have the persons
ID# attatched and a three letter contents code (BRN,MSC,A01,HPH) This will
allow the history files to be searched in several differant ways and point
back to individuals.
