============================== C R V P L O T =================================
CRVPLOT is a professional X-Y data plotting and curve fitting program.
Integral to the program is a powerful data entry and manipulation facility.
CRVPLOT also has the ability to read general text files (e.g., from
spreadsheets where the output is "printed" to a file).

>Files Provided
================================= F I L E S ===================================
The following files are included on the distribution disk:
CRVPLOT.EXE The complete program (Compressed with LZEXE. Will load
slightly faster if you un-compress it with UNLZEXE
(not provided) - will then take 370+K disk space).
GO.BAT A batch file that "type's" README to the screen.
README The introductory file.
INSTALL.EXE The installation program.
INSTALL.TXT An information file used by INSTALL.EXE.
GETHELP.EXE Compressed, self-extracting HELP file. See note on later
screen on HELP system. Uncompresses to CRVPLOT.RH
GETSAMP.EXE Compressed, self-extracting set of samples and templates.
Uncompresses similar to HELP file.
Automatically uncompresses to a number of files, one of
which is SAMPLES.DOC which explains the files.
ORDER .DOC An order form.
ENVIRO .DOC A file that provides information on the optional environment
variable "CRVHOME".
SAMPLE .D The DATA file for the sample plot.
SAMPLE .P The PLOT PARAMETERS file for the sample plot.
>Help System
=============================== HELP SYSTEM ===================================
The HELP system provides access to the entire user's manual on-line.
HELP can be accessed from the Main Menu or from any screen that shows (on
the bottom line of the screen) that F1=HELP. In the latter case, the user's
manual section for the screen you are currently on will be displayed.
CRVPLOT can run without the HELP file, although no help will then be
available.
The HELP system requires that the file GETHELP.EXE be un-compressed.
This is a self-extracting file which uncompresses to CRVPLOT.RH.
┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ The INSTALL program will install the help file. │
│ It can be installed manually by the following. │
└───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
■ Put the distribution disk in a drive (e.g., B:)
■ Log on to the destination drive (e.g., "C:")
■ Log on to the destination directory (e.g., "CD \CRV")
■ Uncompress the help file (≈300K) (e.g., "B:GETHELP")
■ So CRVPLOT can find HELP, an environment variable "CRVHOME" must
be set using the DOS SET command (e.g., "SET CRVHOME=C:\CRV")
(See the file ENVIRO.DOC for info or if SET causes an error mssg)
■ Add this same SET command to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
You will be reminded of the above environment info when exiting from INSTALL.
>How to start CRVPLOT
=============================== START-UP ======================================
