  8.           How to install dtSearch:
  9.  
  10.                * If you have the registered version, please follow the
  11.                directions in the manual.
  12.  
  13.                * If you have the shareware version, there may be included
  14.                an "INSTALL.EXE" file.  This just creates a directory to
  15.                hold the dtSearch program files and executes the self-
  16.                extracting archive file DTSRCH.EXE.  If you have
  17.                INSTALL.EXE, you can use it to install dtSearch.  If not,
  18.                just unpack the files into a directory on your hard disk.

  20.           dtSearch includes the following files:

  28.           DTSEARCH.NOI   List of "noise" words for dtSearch
  29.           DTSEARCH.REG   A screen data file for dtSearch (registered
  30.                          version only)
  31.           DTSEARCH.SCR   A screen data file for dtSearch
  32.  
  33.           DESCRIBE.DTS   Sample descriptions for catalogs, BBSs, etc.
  34.           HISTORY.DTS    dtSearch upgrade history
  35.           LICENSE.DTS    License and usage information
  36.           ORDER.DTS      Registration information and order form
  37.           PACKING.DTS    List of files included in dtSearch package
  38.           README.DTS     Important last-minute information
  39.           SITELICE.DTS   Site license information and agreement
  40.           SYSOP.DTS      Information for Bulletin Board System         
  41.                          distribution (same as VENDOR.DTS)
  42.           VENDOR.DTS     Information and restrictions for disk vendors,
  43.                          distributors, user groups, etc.

  46.                                  Upgrade Information
  47.  
  48.           Document indexes and setup files created with dtSearch 1.0 will
  49.           not work properly with version 1.1.  Although version 1.1 can
  50.           read indexes created with version 1.0, using version 1.1 to
  51.           search for documents in an index created with version 1.0 may
  52.           result in incorrect words being highlighted as "hits" when
  53.           documents are retrieved.  Therefore, if you are upgrading from
  54.           version 1.0, you should delete all of the version 1.0 files and
  55.           indexes and reindex your documents.
