  23. GO53B.ZIP contains seven files:
  24.         GO.EXE                  Version for color only
  25.         README                  This file
  26.         GO.DOC                  Documentation for using GO
  27.         GO.HST                  Revision list
  28.         INFO.EXE                Provides information about your system
  29.         INFO.C                  Source code (public domain)
  30.         REGISTER                Registration form

  32. This program is distributed as shareware.  This means you have the oppor-
  33. tunity to use and evaluate it before you decide to buy.  If you find that you
  34. use it for other than evaluation purposes, then you are obligated to register
  35. the program.  Registration is a $15.00 and entitles you to one free update and
  36. information on further updates as they occur.  Please support the shareware
  37. concept, I've spent a good deal of time developing and enhancing this program
  38. - your support will help me to continue to help you.

  40. Included with this release is a simple registration form covering both single
  41. user and site licenses.
  42.  
  43. This program performs the following seven functions:
  44.  
  45.         - Change file attributes (on single or class of files)
  46.  
  47.         - Read attributes of files and/or directories
  48.  
  49.         - Search for specified files regardless of which hard drive they
  50.           reside on (file extensions are not required if = .*).  System will
  51.           also find files which are hidden.  RAM and network disks are also
  52.           supported.  Program will allow you to switch to the directory of
  53.           the desired file should you so desire.

  55.         - Create new directories and move to them
  56.  
  57.         - Rename directories
  58.  
  59.         - Move files around your hard disk without having to delete them
  60.           afterwards.  Very fast because no actual disk movement occurs.
  61.  
  62.         - Move files between hard disks (eliminates the next step of deleting
  63.           files after the move).
  64.  
  65.         - Remove directories that still contain files and/or sub-directories.
  66.           This function will remove all files and/or sub-directories and them
  67.           remove the main file itself.  It performs the same function as
  68.           UNIXs rm -r command.

  70.         - Supports either color or monochrome monitors (the autodetect ver-
  71.           sion is still under development).

  73. The benefit of this program is that you do not need to remember seven
  74. different program names in order to perform any of these functions.  Using
  75. this program alone will generally save at least 50K when compared to sep-
  76. arate programs performing the same functions.

  78. This program contains any and all information necessary to operate it
  79. efficiently.  Simply type GO and the program will display its complete syntax
  80. and all switches.  For examples, review the GO.DOC file.

  82. I would recommend putting this file into either your root directory or your
  83. /dos (or whatever you call your directory with your dos/operating system
  84. programs) directory and ensure that you have set a path to it.  That way you
  85. can call up the program from anywhere on your system without having to
  86. specify a path.  An example of setting a path is:
  87.  
  88.                         SET PATH = C:\DOS
  89.  
  90. Specifying the drive ensures that you will be able to access this directory
  91. should you have more than one hard drive and not be on the drive containing
  92. the file and directory.  Place you SET PATH command into your autoexec.bat
  93. file thus ensuring proper setting upon system startup.

  95. This program will run on all IBM PC or compatible machines using an 8088,
  96. 8086, 80286, 80386, or 80486 processors.  It requires at least a CGA color
  97. monitor.

  99. Starting with this version, there are NO FREE registrations - ALL users who
  100. use this program for other than evaluation purposes MUST register.  I have
  101. several hundred hours enhancing and refining this program over the past 18
  102. months and your support will ensure that they continue.
