  14.                                WHAT IS SHAREWARE?
  15.         Shareware is a means of marketing Software at a reasonable price.
  16.         Developers of Software use Shareware to distribute their products
  17.         using Shareware because it provides a minimal advertising cost.
  18.         Advertising costs money. In order to market a program on a retail
  19.         basis, a developer typically needs to sell a minimum of 5000
  20.         copies a month. Shareware circumvents this somewhat and helps
  21.         provide you the customer with a good value at a much lower price
  22.         than you would receive from a commercial source.
  23.              In order for shareware to work, If users are actually using
  24.         a product, they must register. Developers can't continue to
  25.         develop and improve products if customers don't register and
  26.         upgrade. Running a small business costs money. If you enjoy using
  27.         a shareware product, either register it or tell the developer
  28.         what they can do to provide a product that you will register. If
  29.         you don't register remove the product from your system and don't
  30.         use it. Shareware is not Free or Public Domain Software. You
  31.         can't expect timely upgrades and fixes from Free or Public Domain
  32.         Software. With a Product like SCP, if you register, and you find
  33.         there are problems I will do everything I can to see that the
  34.         product works well for you. I will provide you as much assistance
  35.         as I can. This unfortunately costs money. I can't do it without
  36.         your registration.

  38.              This software is provided for Trial Purposes Only! The
  39.         purpose of this is to give you the user the opportunity to try
  40.         out SCP without having to buy it in order to try it.
  41.              This version allows you to use all features of this version
  42.         unimpaired. You are Entitled to Use this Shareware Version for Up
  43.         to 30 days from purchase without Obligation. You may not use this
  44.         version for any Commercial Purpose. I will attempt to provide a
  45.         minimal level of technical support to any caller who calls asking
  46.         for help without registration.
  47.              When you register this program, I will send you the latest
  48.         version of SCP, free of limitations and reminders, complete with
  49.         all utilities.
  50.              Since this package is provided for trial purposes, you may
  51.         copy the original .ZIP or .LZH files or disks you received as
  52.         many times as you wish, and upload, download it to your heart's
  53.         content.
  54.              The only thing I ask is to upload or copy the entire package
  55.         intact, in the original ZIP file (provided you got this package
  56.         on a BBS) or disk form, and not change the program or any of the
  57.         documentation.
  58.              Unauthorized alterations versions to this package will be
  59.         considered "Pirated" or hacked. This is to protect you the user
  60.         from receiving a damaged files that may damage your system or

  72.                         WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU REGISTER...

  74.              There are three different levels of registration for SCP,
  75.         priced from $29.95 - $49.95.
  76.              If you send me $29.95, I will send you a password which will
  77.         allow you to use SCP without seeing the Shareware Register
  78.         Screens. This is a basic "Poverty Registration" level.
  79.              If you send me $39.95 plus applicable sales tax and
  80.         shipping, I will send you a new set of disks for SCP. These will
  81.         contain the program that you see here, plus FE, the Font Editor,
  82.         GR, the Gray Editor, and additional SCRCAP TSR programs. There is
  83.         a disk manual.
  84.              If you send me $49.95 plus applicable sales tax and
  85.         shipping, I will send you a Printed Manual plus a new set of
  86.         disks for SCP. These will contain the program that you see here,
  87.         plus FE, the Font Editor, GR, the Gray Editor, and additional
  88.         SCRCAP TSR programs.
  89.              By registering you will be entitled to 3 months or more
  90.         technical support and future upgrades at reasonable prices. If
  91.         You are in a rush I can notify you of the password for your
  92.         program till your Updated copy arrives. You may distribute the
  93.         Shareware version of SCP as long as you do not charge more than
  94.         $5.00 per disk. A lot of hard work went into SCP. In order to
  95.         continue improving SCP and providing extensions to it, you must
  96.         register it. Without your support, I cannot afford to justify the
  97.         expense and energy necessary, if you will not register and
  98.         support this product.
