REQUIREMENTS:

IBM PC or 100% compatible with minimum 256k RAM.
EGA or VGA display with minimum 256k RAM.
A lot of Luck and a little bit of Skill.
INSTRUCTIONS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After Woodfruit is loaded, the opening screen with the scroller will
be displayed. You may press ? for help almost any time during the
game. Press SPACE to enter into playing mode. You start off with a
pound coin and it is ten pence a spin, giving you ten chances of
spinning a win amongst other things. Once your credit reaches zero,
you may exchange any winnings back in to credit or collect it for a
possible high score feature.
If you do get more than the existing high score and decide to collect
your win, a SHOOT-EM-IN type screen will appear. Move the circle over
the desired character you require with the cursor keys and press
SPACE to 'TYPE' the character. You have a maximum of five characters
to input. The two last characters are: (RED ARROW) delete last
character key and (GREEN ARROW) Enter/OK Finished !!! key.
To load a pre-drawn Reel Set into WoodFruit, enter the Reel Data
Filename on the command line, for example :
x:\> WFRUIT COMPLOGO.WFR
The .WFR extension may be omitted if you like.
To turn the sound off, press * almost anywhere, wherever you are in
the game.
MAIN CONTROLS:

1/2/3/4 = Hold Reels C = Cancel Holds
RETURN = Collect Winnings/ Gamble S = Scramble
SPACE = Spin Reels/ Gamble X = Exchange to Credit
G/H/J = Nudge Reels Up * = Sound Toggle
B/N/M = Nudge Reels Down Q = Quit Woodfruit
CURRENT FEATURES:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- THREE FRUIT REELS
Each fruit reel holds eighteen mixed fruit. Try and match the
fruit up when spinning. (See win lines on help screen '?').
- ONE FEATURE REEL
The feature reel holds : 1 2 3 4 5 ?. The numbers 1-5 light up the
WOODFRUIT sign at the top of the screen. The '?' allows you to take
a 'pot-shot' at getting them all (or most) lit. When WOODFRUIT is
fully lit, you can move on to selecting a WIN feature.
- LETTERS HELD INDICATOR
If this lights up, the illuminated letters on the WOODFRUIT will
stay lit for the next spin. If not, the illuminated letters will
be de-activated on the next spin.
- SKILL CHANCE
a) This will pop up from time to time to give you a bash at lighting
all the WOODFRUIT lights. Skill will be involved.
b) After lighting WOODFRUIT, two arrows will normally flash randomly
at the side of the six Win Features, but if Skill Chance flashes,
the arrows will move in a set direction up, then down, allowing
you to try and skillfully select the Win Feature of your choice.
- NUDGE POT (WIN FEATURE #1)
If you get Nudges, use the G H J keys to nudge the fruit reels up
and B N M to nudge the fruit reels down. With each nudge you take,
one nudge will disappear from the Nudge Pot. Try and get the highest
win possible from the Nudges available. If you do nudge a win, it
will allow you to gamble your win before crediting it to the bank.
Before nudging, the reels will spin, therefore :
a) removing any previous nudge win (REPEAT=YES !).
b) allow you to see which fruit just go past or are
about to go past when the spin stops.
HINT: On nudging, move the reels carefully, because if you want
3 same graphics, do not match reel 1 and 2 first because you will
end up with a 20p win. Always try to nudge the reels in 3-2-1 order.
- CASH POT (WIN FEATURE #2)
If you get the Cash Pot Win Feature, the amount of 10p's in the pot
will be transferred into your bank.
- FIFTY PENCE STAKE (WIN FEATURE #3)
If you get the 50p Stake, first you can see if you can win any more
50p's (press SPACE when the 50p lights), then the winnings will be
transferred to your bank.
- THE METER (WIN FEATURE #4)
If the Win Feature selected is The Meter, whatever is in The Meter
will be transferred to your bank. For those of you who are curious,
this was (on the old CGA version) fondly known as the 'Melon Pot' or
'Melon Meter' but times change and since you now have the capability
of loading in different Reel Graphics, it might not be a Melon for
the symbol, so now, it is known as 'The Meter'.
- LAST WIN RECALL (WIN FEATURE #5)
This will recall the last win that was spun (not gambled up to) and
credit you with the amount, after allowing you to gamble it.
- SPIN-A-WIN (WIN FEATURE #6)
This will spin a random win, ranging from 20p upto the Jackpot. The
win will be credited to your account.
- REPEAT FEATURE
This will give you another chance of re-running your Win Feature.
- REEL HOLDS
Hold any of your four reels for your next spin.
- SCRAMBLE REELS
When this indicator is displayed (with reel holds), press 'S' to try
and scramble for a better hold, or even win ! It will move each reel
up a position or down a position.
- GAMBLE
If you win, this feature will allow you to gamble (SPACE BAR) or
collect (ENTER/RETURN) your win.

WFRDK .EXE - Woodfruit Reel Designer Kit.
WFRDK .DOC - WoodFruit Reel Designer Kit document file.
<name>.WFR - Optional (W)ood(F)ruit (R)eel data file for different
reel graphics (generated by the Reel Designer Kit). A
few example files come as standard with the program set,
these being : FRUITS, NUMBERS, COMPLOGO, DRINKS, FLAGS.
COPIES:
~~~~~~~
You may make as many copies as you require for other people as
long as the 'WFR*' files mentioned above are not modified in any
way and are transferred together as one complete package. Any .WFR
files made may also be included in the transferred files.
For example, to make an archive for uploading to a BBS, or compact
storage on your disk, the command line may say :
X:\WF> ARCPROG A WF-EGA WFR*.* *.WFR
Where ARCPROG is the compression program, eg: ARJ, ARC, PKZIP, LHA
A is almost always the command to add files to archive
WF-EGA is the archive name
WFR*.* are the WOODFRUIT and REEL DESIGNER KIT files
*.WFR are the reel data files

A) It Is probably not microsoft mouse compatible. (100% !).
