  115. {4}SWORDS AND SORCERY
  116. {7}At an early age, Elandra showed a true
  117. {7}talent for magic, and became a pupil
  118. {7}of the arcane arts. The brawny Endrick,
  119. {7}however, found he was better suited to
  120. {7}swordplay and the martial arts.{6}INTRODUCTION{4}EARLY TRAINING
  121. {7}The brother and sister parted, each
  122. {7}attending the best academies of their
  123. {7}chosen trades. After several years of
  124. {7}intense training, they had each become
  125. {7}skilled masters of their art.

  128. {7}Their training complete, Endrick and
  129. {7}Elandra reunited. Their skills in might
  130. {7}and magic complemented one another,

  139. {7}cave dwellers, cut off all ties with
  140. {7}the Realm of the Humans.

  142. {4}A REALM UNDER SIEGE
  143. {7}During this time, an alien race of
  144. {7}strange, violent beings attacked the
  145. {7}Human Realm. The Humans rose to defend
  146. {7}their homes, and were able to stave off
  147. {7}the attackers. Everyone knew, however,
  148. {7}that the beasts would return in time...{6}INTRODUCTION{4}UNDERTAKING THE QUEST
  149. {7}The siblings agreed to search for the
  150. {7}source of the evil shadow ruining their
  151. {7}world, and destroy it if at all possible.

  154. {7}Goblins. Perhaps the Humans' former
  155. {7}allies had information that would lead
  156. {7}them to the salvation of their homes.

  202. {7}and speed of her fireballs, as well

  206. {7}This can be accessed both during the
  207. {7}main game and the title opening. It
  208. {7}allows you to choose from a variety
  209. {7}of menus and options. Use the arrow
  210. {7}keys to highlight an option, then
  211. {7}press ENTER to select.

  213. {4}SAVE/LOAD A GAME (F2/F3)
  214. {7}You can save your game at any point
  215. {7}within a level. You may have up to
  216. {7}eight different saved games. When you
  217. {7}save, you will be asked to type in a
  218. {7}file description. Be sure to save your
  219. {7}game often!{6}MORE MENU FUNCTIONS{4}SOUND VOLUME (F4)
  220. {7}Different sound cards have different
  221. {7}amplification, so use this option to
  222. {7}adjust the volumes of the sound
  223. {7}effects or music until they are each
  224. {7}at a level you find comfortable.

  227. {7}This allows you to toggle the Health
  228. {7}Point and Mana Gem display in the
  229. {7}upper left corner of the screen.
