  4. How often have you wanted to get the full pathname of a file, but file
  5. manager and explorer don't let you, so you wind up actually *typing*
  6. parts of the name?  For me it was too often, so I wrote this little
  7. utility to help.  Very simple usage: drag file name(s) from file manager
  8. or explorer and drop on this program, and the names will be copied to
  9. the clipboard.  If more than one name is given, they are placed on
  10. separate lines when pasted into a document.

  14. Installation is simple:

  16.     Copy ClipName.exe and ClipName.hlp anywhere you like.  Arrange to
  17.     launch it as you see fit (depends on which UI you're using - see
  18.     the help file for details).

  20.     On the Win95 interface, you can place a shortcut to ClipName in
  21.     the SendTo folder.  To find the SendTo folder, click the Start
  22.     button, and then click Run.  Type Sendto in the Run dialog box.
  23.     This opens an explorer window on the "Send To" folder.  Place a
  24.     shortcut here however you like.  I name it "Pathname to
  25.     Clipboard" so it's reasonably intuitive when hanging off the
  26.     "Send To" menu.

  28. ClipName is public domain, freeware.  Feel free to copy it as long as
  29. this file is copied also and I retain credit for its creation.
