Welcome To Monitor Saver Version 1.1

Version 1.1 Update
5/28/90
The response to Version 1.0 was extremely gratifying. As a result we have
incorporated the following enhancements into Version 1.1
1.) You may now assign a default delay time by placing the following
statement in your win.ini file:
[Monitor Saver]
delay=X
You can assign X a value in minutes from 1 - 99. This value will then
be used by Monitor Saver each time you start Windows.
2.) Monitor Saver will now restore your screen either by moving your
mouse, or by pressing any key on your keyboard. In Version 1.0
you had to press a mouse button or a key to restore your screen.
Using Monitor Saver
-------------------
Monitor Saver is a screen saver for Microsoft Windows 3.0 only.
The program loads itself into memory and then becomes iconic. If you have
not added the [Monitor Saver] line to your win.ini file, Monitor Saver
will use its default delay time of 15 minutes before it blanks your monitor.
-> PLEASE NOTE <-
From the mail we received there was some confusion regarding
program operation. When you start Monitor Saver by double clicking on
its icon, it sets the delay time to either the value you have specified
in your win.ini file, or to its default time of 15 minutes if no value
has been defined in win.ini. It will then appear as an icon
at the bottom of your screen. No further action on the user's part is
required.
Some users were under the impression that since the program appeared as
an icon they had to restore it, set the delay time, then minimize it
before it would function. THIS IS NOT NECESSARY.
Changing The Delay Time For The Current Windows Session Only
------------------------------------------------------------
You may increase or decrease the delay time for your current Windows
session by following these steps.
1.) Restore Monitor Saver by double clicking on its icon, select Restore
from the menu.
2.) Press Alt D or click on the Set Delay menu option
3.) A dialog box will be displayed showing the current delay time.
4.) Enter the new delay time and click on the OK button, or press enter.
5.) This will then be the new delay time until you either re-set it as
described above, or exit Windows.
