- What is ScaleKey?
- -----------------
-
- ScaleKey is a useful utility for Imagine which you can use with Imagine
- Staging Language. It will allow you to scale the key of the animation.
- Suppose, you have a 90 frame animation, and you decide that you need to make
- the length of the animation 180 frames and have the objects do the same
- motion throughout the entire animation, in other words, you want to stretch it.
- You can use ScaleKey for this. If the new number of frames is greater than
- the existing one, the animation will be in "slow motion", otherwise - "fast
- motion".
-
- How to use it?
- --------------
-
- Using ScaleKey is very simple. First use ISL's destage.exe to convert Imagine
- staging file into an ASCII form. Suppose the resulting filename is demo.stg and
- it has 80 frames. To scale it to 200 frames and put the result into file
- demo1.stg:
-
- scalekey demo.stg demo1.stg -200
-
- If you do not specify the output filename, ScaleKey will overwrite the input
- file with the result. After that convert the resulting file back to Imagine
- binary form and put it in the project's directory.
-
-
- How much does it cost?
- ----------------------
-
- ScaleKey is a freeware, however it is copyrighted in my name. If you like
- ScaleKey, please send me a postcard, e-mail, or a tip on how to do something
- cool in Imagine. That's all I ask for.
