  1. Dear user of the dvi2xx driver for the ibm3812 and the lj-family!
  2. The new release (0.51) features in the following points:
  3.  
  4. The following items are changed since 0.50:
  5.         - MakeTeXPK support:
  6.           If a pk-file is not found on the fontpath the script
  7.           MakeTeXPK (included in the distribution) is executed to 
  8.           generate the pk file in the requited magnification.
  9.         - a bug fix for clipping 1 pixel to much on the paper edge
  10.           (thanks to  TeX spieler@linac.ikp.physik.th-darmstadt.de
  11.           (Christian Spieler) 
  12.         - better handling of large bitmap glyphs (reduced memory
  13.           assumption esp. in dvilj2p)
  14.         - vms support (thanks to Henk de Haan <HAAN@IRIMCF.TUDELFT.NL>)
  15.         - various cleanups in the code
  16.         - better handling of negative page numbers
  17.         - support for 3b2 machines (strange c compiler)
  18.         - support for LaserJet duplex printers such as the HP LaserJet
  19.           IIId (option -d1 or -d2).
  20.         - support for direct inclusinion of pcl graphics 
  21.           (thanks to Fred Hoare <fred@dip1.ee.uct.ac.za>, README.pcl)
  22.         - support for LJ4 (600 dpi)
  23.           (unknown spender)
  24.         - support for DEC alpha machines (configured via Makefile)
  25.         - a bugfix for certain older LaserJet clones, where some
  26.           garbage was printed on top of the first page

  30.         - a sample bsd-stype printcap entry for SunOS (thanks to Ted
  31.           Cox) and a sample lj3-filter written in Perl (evolved from

  33.         - 2up.sty (from tvz@zandtwerk.Princeton.EDU (Timothy Van Zandt))
  34.           which allows to print LaTeX documents in two-up style (two
  35.           logical pages are printed on one landscape sheet).
  36.           Useful in connection with dvilj2p (for LaserJet 2000, LaserJet
  37.           IIP, LaserJet III and LaserJet IIIP) in connection with
  38.           MakeTeXPK.  
  39.         - a README file for Dell Unix (Thanks to  Fred Appelman
