  36. What is Data Master?
  37. --------------------
  38.  
  39.     Data Master is a database program programmed for Amiga computers.
  40. It's not the best database program for Amiga (the best ShareWare 
  41. database program??), but it's very cheap and specially made for
  42. an average user.
  43.     In the program there are five different field types which are
  44. string (text), integer, floating point, type (selection) and boolean
  45. field types. In one record it can be up to 256 different fields and
  46. the number of records is practically limited only by the size of the
  47. free memory. Records can be sorted based on eight key fields.
  48.     You can search from the database those records which match the
  49. search patterns given by the user (for example, all the records whose
  50. first field's first letter is A). You can also search for text strings
  51. from the whole database. Using Data Master it's possible to print the
  52. database for printer or save it as an ASCII file to the disk. Number
  53. fields can be displayed on the screen as graphic diagrams, and using
  54. this function you can simply compare records. There is a separate
  55. field editor for the creating of the fields. Records can be, of
  56. course, moved, copied, deleted or cleared as a single record or as
  57. a block which includes many records.

  59. The Copyright

  62.    The Data Master is a shareware program. The rules of the registration
  63. and the copyright are in the following text.
  64.  
  65. 1.   The Data Master program and all the files distributed with it are
  66.    copyrighted, and the owner of these copyrights is the author of the
  67.    program. The author reserves the right to change the code of the 
  68.    program, any file with it, the rules of the registration and the
  69.    copyright, and the registration fee without any public notice. 
  70. 2.   It's allowed to copy and spread this ShareWare program, which is
  71.    NOT a FreeWare program, if the following conditions are met:
  72.      A. No profit is made ( nominal charges for copy media are only
  73.         permitted, maximum charge about DM 7)
  74.      B. All the files which were released with the program are
  75.         following it
  76.      C. All the files stay unchanged
  77.      D. The program is not spread on any kind of cover disks of
  78.         magazines  
  79. 3.   Because this program is ShareWare, you are allowed to use it
  80.    without registration for 30 days to test the program. After these
  81.    30 days you MUST register the program, if you still want to use it.
  82. 4.   You are not permitted to change or modify the Data Master
  83.    program, or any file released with the original program. All the
  84.    files with the original program must follow it.     
  85. 5.   The program and the files are provided 'as is' without warranty
  86.    of any kind. Use of this program is at your own risk and discretion.

  88. The registration
  89. ----------------

  91.     You can test this ShareWare program for 30 days without paying
  92. anything to me. If you continue to use the program after these 30
  93. days you MUST register the program by sending a registration fee to
  94. me with a filled copy of the Order Form. There are two ways how you
  95. can register your copy of the program:
  96.  
  97. 1. Send DM 15 or GBP (£) 6 in cash by mail with the filled Order Form
  98.    (see the file OrderForm) or with a order where there are
  99.    corresponding information. This way is easy, but not recommended,
  100.    because you can't be absolutely sure how safe it really is.
  101.  
  102. 2. Pay DM 28 (=15+13) or GBP 11 (=6+5) using the Foreign Payment
  103.    Order. The extra payment is added, because my own bank takes a
  104.    payment from me when I get the money to my account. Send the Order
  105.    Form (see the file OrderForm) and the copy of the Foreign Payment
  106.    Order Form by mail to the author. You have to fill the Foreign
  107.    Payment Order Form in your own bank and also your bank takes a
  108.    payment for doing this. Use the following information, when filling
  109.    the Foreign Payment Order Form.
