  9.            First, I would like to thank Nels Anderson for making such
  10.         a fine game in Mah Jongg 3.3 and for including his great Tile
  11.         Maker utility, which has given me the opportunity, as well as
  12.         the necessary tools, for this bit of artistic(?) expression.

  14.         Inspiration & disclaimer:
  15.  
  16.            Some of the most colorful wildlife in the Detroit area has
  17.         always been of the four-wheeled variety. The automobile manu-
  18.         facturers have tried for decades, with varying degrees of suc-
  19.         ess, to capture our imagination with their inspired creations.
  20.            I thought that some of the artwork that they have provided
  21.         would make an attractive and interesting set of tiles for Mah
  22.         Jongg. The accompanying CARS1.TIL is the result of my inspir-
  23.         ation, and includes corporate trademarks as well as some of my
  24.         favorite auto-related graphics and logos from the past thirty-
  25.         odd years.
  26.            As I expect to make no money from this endeavor, I neither
  27.         sought nor was I granted permission to reproduce any of the
  28.         items included. I've attempted to represent all works as ac-
  29.         curately as possible, but will admit taking a certain amount
  30.         of artistic license for the purpose of contrast and clarity.

  32.         Description:

  34.            The tiles in this set don't exactly follow the original Mah
  35.         Jongg suits. The first thirty are made up of the logos, etc.
  36.         mentioned above and are meant to replace the suits of bamboo,
  37.         dots, characters, and dragons. The shift patterns, traffic
  38.         signs, and auto parts/accessories replace the suits of winds,
  39.         seasons, and flowers, respectively. The signs and auto parts
  40.         tiles are wild within their own suit.
