  1. SPINDLY SPIDERS
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Paper nut cup or egg carton cup
  5. Pencil
  6. Eight 3-inch pieces of pipe cleaner or eight twist-ties
  7.

  9. STEP 1
  10. For spider's face, decorate the nut cup using crayons or markers to draw the eyes and mouth. You may also use adhesive stickers for the eyes, or glue on cereal or raisins. Give your spider a funny hat by gluing on fluffy cotton balls or tiny marshmallows.

  13. With adult help, use the tip of a pencil and poke 8 holes around the bottom edge of the nut cup.

  16. To make the spider's legs, insert pipe cleaners into the pencil holes.

  19. SOME COOL IDEAS:
  20. If you use plastic foam egg cups for the spiders, it is difficult to color the plastic with paint or water soluble markers. Instead, use glue to decorate the Spindly Spiders.

  22. Use a variety of materials to make several silly spiders. Add glitter, pieces of construction paper, rickrack, lace, paper doilies, or sequins to the egg cups.
