  1. PAPER BOAT
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. One 8 1/2x11-inch piece of paper
  5. Water
  6.  
  7. STEP 1
  8. First, fold the paper in half crosswise.
  9.  
  10. STEP 2
  11. Then fold 1 of the top corners down to the center.
  12.  
  13. STEP 3
  14. Fold down the other corner.
  15.  
  16. STEP 4
  17. Fold both front and back long edges up.
  18.  
  19. STEP 5
  20. Push ends toward the center; flatten.
  21.  
  22. STEP 6
  23. Turn the bottom corner up.  And then do the other corner.

  25. STEP 7
  26. Push the ends together again.

  28. STEP 8
  29. Flatten the boat sideways again.
  30.  
  31. Now draw on your boat with crayons or markers.

  33. Or, cut out a small paper sail.  Tape it to a plastic coffee stirrer or toothpick.  Then tape it to your boat.

  36. Now gently pull the top corners open, and shape the sides of the boat.  
  37.  
  38. Now set the boat in water.  And give it a push!
  39.  
  40. Aye matey, that's a mighty fine paper boat!
