  1. MUNCHASAURUS

  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Tape
  5. Waxed paper
  6. Liquid or paste food coloring
  7. Foil
  8. Cookie sheet
  9. Hot pads
  10. Pancake turner
  11. Wire cooling rack
  12.  
  13. For the dinosaur dough you'll need:
  14. 2/3 cup of margarine or butter
  15. 1 2/3 cups of all-purpose flour
  16. 1/3 cup of sugar
  17. 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract
  18.  
  19. STEP 1
  20. With adult help, first make the dinosaur dough:
  21.  
  22. In a large mixer bowl beat the margarine with an electric mixer on medium speed, about 30 seconds or until it is softened. Then add about half of the flour, the sugar, and the vanilla.

  24. Beat all the ingredients together with an electric mixer on low to medium speed. Beat untill it is thoroughly combined, and scrape the sides occasionally. Next,  beat or stir in the remaining flour.

  26. STEP 2
  27. Tape pieces of waxed paper to the counter.  You'll need one piece of waxed paper for each color.

  29. Then divide the cookie dough into several parts, and place them onto the waxed paper. Add food coloring to each part. And then squeeze the coloring into dough with your hands.  This is the fun part! Keep squeezing till the dough is all the same color!

  31. STEP 3
  32. Tear a piece of foil the size of your cookie sheet.  And tape it to the counter.  Then place a handful of cookie dough onto the foil.

  34. Shape the cookies into dinosaurs or other shapes.  Make sure the cookies are about 1/2 inch thick and about 2 inches apart on the foil.
