  1. JAZZY JET PACK
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. Scissors
  5. Construction paper
  6. 1 large cereal box
  7. Crayons or markers
  8. Tape or white crafts glue
  9. 1 1/4 yards of ribbon or heavy string
  10. 2 or 3 small plastic or paper cups, or nut cups
  11.  
  12. STEP 1
  13. Cut a piece of construction paper so it's about the same size as the front of the cereal box. Then use crayons to draw the control panel for the jet pack on the paper.  Use as many colors as you like!

  15. Next, tape the paper to the front of the cereal box.
  16.  
  17. STEP 2
  18. With adult help, cut a slit in the middle of each side of the box near one edge.  Then push one end of the ribbon through a slit.  
  19.  
  20. Put your hand in the box and pull the end of the ribbon through. Then push the ribbon through the slit on the other side.

  22. Pull the ribbon through the box until it's even on both sides. Now you have a way to strap the jazzy jet pack to your back.

  24. STEP 3
  25. Tape the ends of the cereal box closed.  To make rocket boosters, tape 2 or 3 cups to the bottom of the box .

  27. Wear the jet pack on your back with the ribbon tied around your chest!
  28.  
  29. Away you go with a jazzy jet pack!
