Party blowouts with 1/2-inch-diameter tubes that will fit over your fingers
Some key tags for eyes
Black, white, and red paper scraps
Scraps of pink felt and other colors
Tacky glue
Two beads
Paper punch
Black fine felt-tip pen
Tracing paper
STEP 1
First make the puppet with the earrings. Print out the patterns and cut them out. Then cut two pink felt hands and one each of the arm, shirt, and collar from the felt colors of your choice.
STEP 2
Glue the shirt around the bottom edge of the blowout tube. Then glue the collar along the top edge of the shirt.
Glue a hand to each end of the arm piece using the tinted area on the pattern as a guide. Glue along the top edge of the arm piece. Fold the arm piece in half, using the dashed lines on the pattern as a guide. Then glue the top and bottom edges together.
Next, glue the center of the arm piece to the back of the tube over the shirt.
STEP 3
Print and cut out the lips pattern. Then draw around the lips pattern on red paper, and cut them out.
Draw the mouth line with a felt-tip pen. Then glue the lips to the blowout tube.
STEP 4
For the eyes and earrings, slide beads onto the wires of two key tags. To make the eyebrows, cut thin strips of black paper; glue them to the backs of the tags. Glue the eyes to the blowout tube, placing the earrings off to the side.
Finally, make the pupils by punching out two black paper dots and glue them to the tags. Now you have a handful of finger friends!
