Gently tap the hard-cooked eggs all over until the shells crack. But don't take the shells off the eggs!
STEP 2
In a small bowl thoroughly mix together the water and soft drink mix. Then add the cracked eggs to the colored water.
STEP 3
Cover the small bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 1 or 2 days. Then remove the eggs and throw away the colored water. Finally, peel the shells off the eggs and throw them away.
And that's how to make, eggceptional dyno eggs!
SOME COOL IDEAS:
The key to making pretty marbled eggs is in the first step. Crack the shells gently so you get lots of fine cracks.
If you crack the shells too hard, they will split open. The soft drink mix then will seep inside the shell and leave big blotches of color on the egg instead of delicate marbling.
These delicious dinosaur eggs can double as beautiful Easter eggs. After you peel the marbled eggs, wrap them in clear plastic wrap. Then tie the ends with a colorful piece of ribbon. Be sure to place them in an Easter basket for a colorful springtime treat. Store the eggs in the refrigerator.
