Appears as brownish sunken spots. Infected fruit often oozes pinkish material. This disease infects many vegetables, including beans, peppers, tomatoes, and especially vine crops. To prevent it, buy chemically treated seed or treat seed yourself with a fungicide. Spray plants with a fungicide to prevent further spread.
