A favorite in northern climates, the honeysuckle is an upright-growing, dense, twiggy plant that reaches 8 to 10 feet in height. Its vigorous growth makes it ideal for screening and hedging. Very tiny flowers of pale pink or red in mid-spring create a flush of color over blue-green leaves. In early summer, miniature-size berries of red form and last until eaten by the birds.
