Leaf spots can affect Bermuda, St. Augustine, and bent grasses, and fescues. The fungus spreads fast during warm, humid, rainy weather. Little brown spots show up on grass blades, then spread into long patches with gray centers and purple waterlogged edges. The grass looks scorched. Avoid quick-release nitrogen. Use slow-release ureaform instead.
