Comments
In fall, dig and clean pips (root-stocks), then place in refrigerator for six weeks. Or buy pre-cooled pips. Pot 12 cooled pips in five-inch pot, with buds just above soil. Place pot in dark for 10 days at 60 degrees. Keep soil moist, not soggy. As growth starts, bring into bright light at 70 degrees. Pips take 21 days from planting to bloom. After foliage dies, remove pips; store in cool, dry place. Plant outside in spring. Let pips grow outdoors for a year and a half before restarting process.
