Arrowhead vine is a tropical trailing plant with foliage color and markings that vary by variety. It gets its name from the arrowhead shape of its leaves. Easy to grow, arrowhead vine thrives in hanging baskets or when supported by a stake.
Light
Place in medium light for best growth. Tolerates low light. Grows well if under artificial light 12 to 16 hours per day. Keep bulb 12 to 18 inches above the plant.
Water
Keep the soil moist, not soggy, at all times. Plant grows easily in water. Mist to maintain high humidity. If plant is grown on moss stick, keep moss moist at all times.
Temperature
Maintain temperatures of at least 60 degrees, preferably close to 68 degrees.
Comments
Use soil high in organic matter. Let plant get pot-bound. Clean leaves often, but avoid leaf polishes. Give foliage a bath or wash in a warm shower occasionally. Feed with a dilute solution at least monthly in spring and fall, less often at other times. Pick off dry, yellow, or withered leaves. Pinch off growing tips regularly to encourage bushiness. Propagate by rooting the pinchings.
