Medicinal uses
Rue is said to stimulate menstruation and disinfect insect bites. It is full of iron and mineral salts. It should be used only under supervision, and not during pregnancy.
Cultivation
Full sun is best for growing rue. Divide plants in spring, or take cuttings in summer. Transplant to 18 inches apart and protect in cold winters. Rue can be grown successfully indoors, too.
