Impatiens
Also called garden balsam
(Impatiens sp.)
One- to 1-1/2-inch, cup-shaped flowers on small, mounded plants 6 to 8 inches in diameter. Petals are sky blue with white centers.
Soil and Light
Sun or partial shade in warm areas. Prefer light well-drained soil.
Planting
Sow seeds as soon as ground can be worked. In warm areas, sow seed in the fall.
Comments
Use as a ground cover, bedding, or edging plant. Try mixing with flowering bulbs.
