  1.                Notes for BBS Operators

  3. With this release we have provided "files.bbs" PCBoard format files
  4. in two formats.  In each directory you will find the files
  5. "files.bbs" and "files.bbd".  "files.bbs" contains the Windows 95
  6. style DOS 8.3 aliases using "~" and numbers in the filename.
  7. "files.bbd" contains filenames truncated to 8.3 format.  Depending on
  8. the OS you are using for your BBS software and the CD-ROM drivers you
  9. will see one or the other style name.  Use whichever matches what you
  10. see when you do a "dir" of the CD directories.

  12. In addition we have provided the "raw" input for these files as
  13. <dirname>.txt in each directory.  Hopefully if our "files.bb?" files
  14. don't work for you, you will be able to fiddle these raw files to
  15. match the needs of your BBS system.

  17. We will also be making other format files available on our FTP server
  18. (ftp.infomagic.com) as helpful SYSOPS provide them to us.

  20. Each disc also has a file "index.txt" in its root directory that
  21. lists the directories and their descriptions for that CD.
