Message editor commands: A, C, D, E, F, I, L, P, R, S, V, !, / These commands allow you to edit the message you just entered. A - abort You can abort the message and return to the command prompt. C - continue Continue writing the message (as long as you have not reachedthe 99 line limit). D - delete a line Allows you to delete one line from the message. You need toknow the number of the line you wish to delete, use the listcommand to display line numbers. E - edit a line Allows you to re-enter one line of your message. You will beshown the existing line and prompted to enter a new line. If youwish to copy text from the original line press control-r. Eachcharacter will be copied from the old line to the new one. F - forward a copy to another user You can send up to 10 copies of the message to other users. I - insert a new line Allows you to insert a blank line in the message. The linein inserted before the line you specify. L - list message The message will be displayed including lines numbers. Paragraph markers are displayed as "<". R - read original message If you are replying to a message you can go back and read theoriginal message. S - save message Saves the message and returns you to the command prompt. V - view message The message will be displayed as it would be when someonereads it. P - paragraph marker A paragraph marker is created by hitting return whileentering a message. This command will add or remove a markerfrom the line depending if the line is at the end of a paragraphor not. When listing the message a paragraph marker is displayedas "<". ! - check spelling Each word in the message will be checked and you will beprompted to enter the correct spelling any words not found in thedictionary. / - search and replace Search and replace is a fast and easy way of changing text inyour message. The format of the command line is: /search string/replace string/line # So if you wanted to change the word "four" to "for" in line 8you would enter: /four/for/8 If you wanted to remove all occurrences, in other wordsreplace nothing, the word "remove" you would enter: /remove//8 If you don't specify a line number then all lines will besearched. /too/two/ Will replace all occurrences of "too" with "two" in everyline of the message.
