  8.                      1. Place DEMO disk in the A: drive
  9.  
  10.                      2. Make sure you have the A> prompt
  11.                         (if you don't, type A: and ENTER)
  12.  
  13.                      3. Run the program by typing
  14.  
  15.                         BIBLE   (then press ENTER)
  16.  
  17.  
  18.                             System Requirements
  19.                             -------------------
  20.  
  21.        IBM PC/XT/AT or fully compatible
  22.  
  23.        Minimum 256K memory - The program itself uses approximately 220K.
  24.                              The rest is available for the word processor
  25.                              and notepad text.  To create larger notepad or
  26.                              word processor files you will need to add more
  27.                              memory to the 256K minimum.
  28.  
  29.        Two floppy drives   - One for the program disk and one for the
  30.                              Bible text file disks.
  31.  
  32.        Or a hard disk      - Each Bible version requires approximately
  33.                              1-1/2 megabytes of disk space.
  34.                              The program and utility files use about 300K.
  35.  
  36.        DOS 2.0 or later

  43.        THE PC STUDY BIBLE DEMO disk contains the following files:

  45.               README        --  instructions for running the DEMO program
  46.               BIBLE.EXE     --  main program
  47.               BIBLE.OVR     --  program overlays
  48.               ERROR.MSG     --  error messages
  49.               F1.HLP        --  F1 function key help screens
  50.               DEFAULT.DEF   --  default settings
  51.               BKCODES.BBL   --  Bible books and abbreviations
  52.               DICTION.ARY   --  Bible word list
  53.               BKFILES.KJV   --  pointers to the KJV version text files
  54.               BKFILES.NIV   --  pointers to the NIV version text files
  55.               BBLTEXT1.KJV  --  Ephesians through II Timothy from KJV
  56.               BBLTEXT1.NIV  --  Ephesians through 2 Timothy from NIV

  60.                                Installation
  61.                                ------------
  62.  
  63.        NOTE --- you must have a CONFIG.SYS file in your root directory that
  64.                 contains the following line:
  65.  
  66.                                 FILES=20
  67.  
  68.                 DOS defaults to a maximum of 12 files open at any one time.
  69.                 PC STUDY BIBLE requires more than that.  The above CONFIG.SYS
  70.                 line will increase the maximum to 20 files.

  73.                            Hard Disk Installation
  74.                            ----------------------

  76.        1. From the root directory of the hard disk create a BIBLE directory
  77.           by typing
  78.  
  79.           MD BIBLE
  80.  
  81.        2. Go to that directory by typing
  82.  
  83.           CD BIBLE
  84.  
  85.        3. Place THE PC STUDY BIBLE Demo disk in the
  86.           A: drive and copy it to the hard disk by typing
  87.  
  88.           COPY A:*.*
  89.  
  90.        5. Run the program by typing
  91.

  96.                     To Run On A Dual Floppy System
  97.                     ------------------------------

  99.        1. Place THE PC STUDY BIBLE Demo disk in the A: drive.
  100.           It must remain there until you exit from the program.
  101.  
  102.        2. Run the program by typing
  103.  
  104.           BIBLE
  105.
