  4. Webwatch is an Internet application. In order to run it you need an Internet 
  5. connection (TCP/IP stack and PPP or equivalent.) As WebWatch is intended 
  6. to run as a complementary product to Web browsers, we assume that you have
  7. this properly installed. In this case you don't need any additional steps
  8. to customize your connection for Webwatch or to set up Webwatch to recognize
  9. your existing connection.

  11. WebWatch is a 32-bit Windows application. To run it you need either a
  12. 32 bit version of Windows (like Windows NT) or Win32s running on top
  13. of a 16 bit Windows (like WfW 3.11) If you are running NCSA Mosaic for Windows
  14. (on any platform) or the 32 bit version of Netscape (on Windows NT), you are 
  15. properly set up. If you are running the 16 bit version of Netscape (on
  16. WfW 3.11), you may need to set up Win32s (chances are that you have it
  17. already.) NCSA Mosaic's Web site contains detailed instruction about how

  20. To install WebWatch, unzip the distribution file into a directory. Copy the
  21. sample webwatch.ini file into your windows directory. Using Program Manager
  22. add webwatch.exe to a program group or run webwatch.exe directly from the
  23. 'Run...' menu or double clicking on it within the File Manager. At the
  24. first run you'll probably customize the parameter setting to reflect your
  25. directory structure, etc. This you'll have to do only once. The new settings 
  26. will be saved in the webwatch.ini file.
