  13.           There are many whois servers in the world.  You can obtain a list
  14.           via anonymous ftp (use archie to find out where) or more easily
  15.           use Veronica and search for "whois serve*".  To search a named
  16.           whois server enter: whois -h [whois.servers.name] [name of person].
  17.           Entering both first and last names of person requires single 
  18.           quotes:  whois -h whois.internic.net 'elmer fudd.'

  22.           Telnet to info.cnri.va us 185.  Issue the command: query [name].
  23.           Use the ? command to get help screens.  The Knowbot searches
  24.           MCI mail databases as well as many Internet databases.

  28.           Fred (FRont End to the Directory) searches X.500 directories.
  29.           Telnet to wp.psi.com or wp2.psi.com.  Log in as fred.  Use the
  30.           help command to get details.

  32.           Usenet Addresses

  34.           Email to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu.  In the body of the letter
  35.           type the line: send usenet-address/[name] where name is the last
  36.           name of the person you are looking for.  If your person has ever
  37.           posted to a Usenet newsgroup he may be in this database.  This
  38.           database may also be searched via WAIS.

  42.           Telnet to a netfind server and log in as netfind.  Choose 2 from
  43.           the menu that will appear ("Search").  Enter your search terms
