  1. Monkeysoft ZappyLock Demo Version 2.x

  3. NOTE: This demo version is intended to offer normal desktop password
  4. protection for 15 days.  The program will continue to work after the 15-day
  5. evaluation, though some visual aspects of the program will change.

  7. Installation Instructions
  8.  
  9.  1.) Download the demo and save it to your Windows
  10.      (or \Windows\system) directory (the demo is 260K and
  11.      takes about 1.5 minutes on a 28.8 connection) 
  12.  2.) Double-click on the file zldemo.exe - this is a 
  13.      self-extracting ZIP archive 
  14.  3.) Right-click on your Windows background and left-click "Properties"
  15.  4.) Click on the tab labeled "Screen Saver" 
  16.  5.) Click the arrow next to the drop-down box and scroll until
  17.      you see "ZappyLock Demo" - select "ZappyLock Demo" 
  18.  6.) Make sure the box next to "Password protected" has a
  19.      check in it and click "Change" (do this even if you were
  20.      using a password before or the program WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY) 
  21.  7.) Set your password and click "Ok" 
  22.  8.) Click settings and find the directory in which you have
  23.    images you'd like to display (NOTE: ZappyLock will only
  24.    read files from one directory, so place the files you'd like to
  25.    have displayed in a single directory and then select it) 
  26.  9.) Confirm your directory choice and then click "Apply" 
  27. 10.) Click "Ok" and enjoy your new-found desktop security!

  84. 1. Fixed problem where if "Run on Windows Startup" was selected from
  85. config section, that option wouldn't take effect until screen saver
  86. ran.

  89. 1. Fixed major problem with systems using 256-color setting for Windows.
  90. Some images would encounter palette corruption and Zappylock would 
  91. display the picture with a poor palette.  Now palettes are being reset
  92. and all pictures show correctly in all color modes.
  93. 2. Fixed bug for handling of situation when the picture path/drive
  94. suddenly becomes inaccessible while Zappylock runs.
  95. 3. Better exception handling for invalid/corrupt JPEGs/GIFs/BMPs
