  6. Space Screen Saver
  7. =======================

  9. Space Screen Saver has a multitude of screen saver programs - 
  10. all full screen/full color using the Space image library and with 
  11. 3D graphical effects. The programs can be set to varying speeds
  12. /effects with simple slider controls. A detailed analog clock 
  13. is also available for all programs and can be optionally set 
  14. on/off. Each image has accompanying text - flashed up at the
  15. start of each screen saver routine - which can be optionally
  16. set on/off.

  19. To Install

  22. If not installed already -

  24.  1. "run a:\setup.exe" if on disk or else simply "run *.exe"
  25.     if a single file (from download) 
  26.  2. ...just follow the on-line directions

  30. To Run Space screen saver
  31. ============================

  33. Once installed you can select the Space screen saver for 
  34. your system.

  36.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  37.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  38.        Panel" and then select "Display" (double click) 
  39.        from "Control Panel" group.

  41.     2. Select "Screen Saver" page

  43.     3. Select the "Space" screen saver in the listbox 
  44.        (left side)
  45.  
  46.     4. Click the "Settings" button to configure to your 
  47.        own taste. Please allow a small delay the first time 
  48.        the screen saver runs/tests as the screen saver needs 
  49.        to sort out the image files.

  51.         - Clock on/off (button control)
  52.         - Text on/off (button control)
  53.         - Speed of movement (slider control)
  54.         - Size (slider control)

  58.         - choose which screen saver effect you want

  61.     5. Click the "Preview" button to view the screen saver 
  62.        with your settings.

  65. The screen saver will now run after however many minutes of 
  66. keyboard/mouse inactivity have been set in the "Wait" panel 
  67. (screen saver section).

  74. software fully operational again is a simple "registration" number 
  75. to act as a key to your unique license number - no need to 
  76. download more MB of software or pay for postage/handling.

  86. The Space Screen Saver  program allows you a free trial period - 
  87. enabling you to make a full evaluation of the software - with the only 
  88. proviso being that you can only see 3 of the 12 images you have 
  89. downloaded (the other 9 images are already there waiting for you - 
  90. you just need the "registration" number to see them). After this 
  91. trial period the screen saver will no longer run in full operation 
  92. mode - showing only one image at a time before returning to the 
  93. original screen - rather than cycling through the image collection.

  96. What is the License Number ? (and why you need it)

  99. Your "license" number is unique and can be easily found at the 
  100. top-left of the Space screen saver "Settings" box or the 
  101. "Register Details" box or the "About" box  - and 
  102. starts with "X..." eg  "X****-****/**-**/***"). Your "license" 
  103. number requires a similarly unique "registration" number which 
  104. will be sent to you. When you receive the "registration" number 
  105. simply press the button marked "Register" - and follow the 
  106. instructions. Once registered the Software will run indefinitely - 
  107. in full operation mode - and allow you to see all the 12 images that 
  108. you have already downloaded.

  111. How exactly to find and read the "license" number

  114. To read the "license" number:-
  115.  
  116.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  117.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  118.        Panel" and then select "Display" (double click) 
  119.        from "Control Panel" group.

  121.     2. Select "Screen Saver" tab/page.
  122.  
  123.     3. Select the "Space" screen saver in the listbox 
  124.        (left side) - if  you haven't already done this.

  126.     4. Click the "Settings" button and read the license
  127.        at the top left of the "Settings" box

  130. How exactly to enter your "registration" number
  131. =======================================

  133. To enter your "registration" number (received on payment) 
  134. follow the same steps 1 to 3 above and then
  135.  
  136.     4. Click the "Settings" button .
  137.     5. Click the "Register" button (How to register...)
  138.         on the left of the "Settings" box.
  139.     6. Click the "Register" button on the right of the 
  140.         "Register Details" box.
  141.     7. Enter your "registration" number, name and
  142.         company (optional).
  143.     8. Click OK

  145. Your software will then be registered and will run in full
  146. operational mode indefinitely - allowing you to see all the
  147. images.

  162. With a Windows 95 Front Shell (this includes NT4.0) use the 
  163. Add/Remove Programs facility

  165.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  166.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  167.        Panel" and then select "Add/Remove Programs" 
  168.        (double click) from "Control Panel" group.

  170.     2. On the first tab/page - "Install/Uninstall" select
  171.        "Space" from the list and click the
  172.        "Add/Remove" button.
