  31. Yet another starflight screensaver? -not at all. StarFlight is THE "starflight
  32. screensaver" !

  46. System requirements

  48. At first you need Windows95(tm), WindowsNT(tm) 3.51 or 4.0. This program
  49. requires a fpu unit, because it makes usage of floating point calculations.
  50. You need a CPU >=3D 80486. For the spectral colouring you need true colour
  51. mode (16 bit colour depth).

  58. Installation
  59. Copy the starflight.scr to your windows\system directory.
  60. Using the desktop properties you can choose and configure the screensaver.
  61. You also can use the explorer and the context menu for the screen saver to
  62. configure.

  65. Properties
  66. There are a lot of parameters to change the starflight behaviour.
  67.  
  68. Sections:
  69. * "View"
  70.   Select the form of view and the main speed. As a gimmick, you can activate a
  71.   scanner simulation.
  72.  
  73. * "Ignore"
  74.   You can protect the screensaver against mouse motion and mouse clicks.
  75.  
  76. * "Screen Save"
  77.   After a selectable time, the screen can be blanked completely.

  79. * "View control"
  80.   If you chose dynamic view, you can control its behaviour here.

  82. * "Star Parameter"
  83.   Configure two separate star sets. The primary set represents the fast,
  84.   nearby flying stars, the second set is the far away, a bit slower flying stars.
  85.   When the star length is one, the dot size can doubled.

  87. * "Special"
  88.   With "not jerky" the screensaver blanks to black, if any background task
  89.   takes to much CPU time. With "info line" the saver shows for 2 minutes the
  90.   following infos: frames per second, drawn stars and total stars.

  92. * "Play audio file"
  93.   Select an audio file, which play at startup. It can play infinite
  94.   while screen is blanking (but ends with final screen save)
